Kevin L Ayers

Kevin Ayers is a Member of the SME Direct Digital Manufacturing Advisory Team.

Kevin is a graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Engineering. He has worked as a design and manufacturing engineer for over 31 years with the FBI. Most of that time. He has been directly involved in what is now called additive manufacturing. The FBI was one of the first organizations to use 3D printing technology as end use parts building tens of thousands of parts going back to the early nineties. During that time, Mr. Ayers has been involved as an advisor for the Society of Manufacturing engineers and the AMUG receiving the Dino Award in 2003. In 2014, Mr. Ayers retired from the FBI and worked for SME as the Industry Manager over Additive Manufacturing Industry and as a consulting editor for Advanced Manufacturing Media. In 2017, Mr. Ayers joined Danfoss Power Solutions and currently works there involved in AM in metals, polymers, composites, sand, design, and training. He is currently an AM consultant working with 3D Metal Konsulting.

Tryggve Rogers

A 5 year veteran of the Additive Industry, Tryggve has worked on the Danfoss corporate Additive Design & Manufacturing team for the majority of his career. After receiving his BS in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Iowa State University in 2018, Trygg (as he is known by friends and family) began his career. In 5 years at Danfoss, Tryggve has worked on AM applications, supplier qualification, project management, building a software roadmap for a large organization, AM training, and more.

Tryggve joined the Beehive3Dteam in March as a Sales Manager, and is excited for a new challenge.

During his non-working hours, Tryggve enjoys spending time outdoors, preferably skiing, hiking, or golfing. He also gives back to the AM Community by being an AMUG Membership Committee volunteer and frequent Wi3DP event attendee. Tryggve will be returning to school part-time this spring to pursue an MBA at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
