Taiwan ranks the world’s 5th largest exporter and 7th largest producer of machine tools. Taiwan will host the first machine tool mega show in the world this year, TIMTOS x TMTS 2022, physically from Feb. 21 to 26, while online from Feb. 21 to Mar. 21, to showcase the latest modules and innovations. A total of 950 exhibitors in 5,100 booths will pack Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 & 2.

Additionally, TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 features various onsite-online hybrid events to serve the foreign buyers who are eager to learn more about Taiwan machines and auxiliary equipment’s new development. One of the hybrid events include the Media Eye on TIMTOS x TMTS webinar, which is organized by Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), implemented by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and powered by SME. The webinar selects 6 leading brands in machine tools and auxiliary equipment, to focus on the solutions that are aimed for the rising needs of less labor and smarter production seen in post-pandemic and answer the following questions:

  1. What are the solutions that can require less labor and at the same time increase productivity?
  2. With the existing machinery, is there any auxiliary or parts that can easily get your production more automated?
  3. What’s the strength of Taiwan machine tool manufacturers?
  4. What do you have to know about North American machine tool market?

With this special opportunity, the SME will send a correspondent and visit the 6 Taiwanese brands at the TIMTOS x TMTS show to get some in-depth interviews.
